Appledore - The Old Rectory

Social Spaces - a family room transformed

Our clients came to us with a specification, wanting one of their smaller rooms to be turned into a central place where the whole family could spend some time together, either relaxing reading a book or to gather watching films.

A freshly plastered room awaited us, a blank canvas; quite large in size but lacking the same warmth and comfort as the original room.

The brief detailed the need for a central living space, but for the room to provide both a relaxing area of quiet contemplation paired with cosy TV snug.

We felt it would be too overpowering to add large heavy items to the space, but we knew the clients wanted a room with dual purpose.
Focusing on their love of reading and books, we invested in a wonderful structural bookshelf - large in size - but not too obtrusive.

With the Quill system in place and creation of dual space, we added KAGU's statement pieces alongside some beautiful furniture.

From the deep rouge colours of the reading chairs to the luxe velvet blue in the TV snug, our canvas now had a sense of warmth, with an element of understated regality.

And there's always great inspiration in lighting; and as we are very fortunate to work alongside some great suppliers, our chosen light features for the rectory room were easily selected from Buster & Punch.

Now with an abundance of colour, plant life and natural fibres, the newly completed rooms are fully functional and in constant use

Clapham - The Penthouse

Home Retreat - from the Balearics to London

Our clients came to us, asking if we could help them turn this penthouse apartment in London into their dream Ibiza style home.

The apartment is a world away from the hustle and bustle of the streets of London below. When you step into the apartment, the idea was to take the client back to the relaxing times spent in the Balearic Islands.

With an interior concept showcasing natural textures and modern stone, the apartment transformed into a bright minimalistic space.

The open plan living area was now nearing completion. Our clients had selected a number of items they wanted to incorporate into their new room. With a selection of KAGU items, our next task was set; to dress the apartment ready for our client's return.

The blank canvas of white walls and concrete along with stunning Crittall frames,  allowed a mix of modern and vintage pieces to be placed perfectly, and all whilst keeping the client's favourites in focus.
